A Message from the Pastor
We at Community Presbyterian Church understand that going to church is not just
attending services in a building. We are the people of God, the body of Christ,
the community of God’s people. Community Presbyterian Church has many ongoing
activities, but most of all, we exist to honor, exalt and glorify our Savior,
Jesus Christ.
(1 Corinthians 1:23)
If you do not have a church family, please come and check us out. We enjoy
meeting and welcoming new people. You will find that we are not a perfect church
but because of the cross, a forgiven gathering of believers. We are a
Christ-centered and Bible-believing church in the Reformed faith. We do not
emphasize that we are Presbyterians but that we are Christians living under the
Lordship of Jesus Christ. We pray you will find CPC an active, exciting
gathering of believers where you do not leave as a stranger.
If you have not personally trusted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we
encourage you to explore the wonderful gospel of Christ. Please, come speak with
me about your faith or desire to know God personally. As believers, we are part
of the body of Christ and are called to worship Him.
When we worship, we come together to glorify God, to celebrate who He is and
what He has done for us, and we learn more about Him! There is great strength in
a community of believers. Worshiping together revitalizes us and renews us for
the tasks and struggles ahead. Our Lord calls us together; “Let us not give up
meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one
another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” (Hebrews 10:25)
