Phillip
Philip is
one of the least known of the disciples.
He appears primarily in the Fourth
Gospel where the writer suggests hat
Jesus "found" him, a native of Bethsaida,
probably a neighbor of Peter and Andrew.
He is presented as a man with a
practical turn of mind; he questioned
Jesus’ ability to buy enough bread for
the multitude, and at the Last Supper,
he expressed the wish, "To See the
Father." He is remembered symbolically
by a slender cross and two loaves of
bread. |
